After almost a month I picked up my Jeep from the mechanic shop.
I rushed to it like two wayward lovers on a beach. I wrapped my arms around it’s steering wheel. We were reunited after all this time. It was time to clean out the inside. I first unloaded everything from the inside. It looked like a scene from the first Aliens. Blood and guts were replaced by Wheat thins and bottles, jackets, and one sock. I took it to the car wash for a deep vacuum. The change that was being sucked up reminded me of a trip to Canada with my kids when they were younger. I could just hear my wallet being emptied back then. Frozen yogurt, candy, and gifts for friends and family needed to be bought. This was a great time for us. After vacuuming up what I’m sure was equivalent to my son’s first years tuition in college I headed to repack my long lost friend. First the dual battery need to be reinstalled. Not that a hurricane was forecasted for the pacific northwest. But one needs to make sure they are always prepared. I learned this in boy scouts selling cookies. Wait, that’s the girl scouts. Well, anyway those are damn good cookies.
Anyway I digress. Let’s strive forward with determination of Chamberlain on his way towards Gettysburg.
