It’s time! Let that snow come down, down, down.
I installed my AirLift 5000 airbag suspension on the rear of the Tundra yesterday. It took me a while. This mostly has to do with me being a dumbass. Yep if there is one thing I can do is to make the simple things difficult and the difficult things damn near impossible.

But needless to say after four hours of swearing and losing bolts, nuts, and my mind I finished. I inflated the airbags to 48psi. I will run at this level for a week to see how I like it. The airbags lifted the back of the truck two inches. What a difference this makes. With the Alu-Cabin on the truck and all the gear in it I would say it weighs around a thousand pounds. This put a considerable squat on the Tundra. Now it’s back level.

Another upgrade are the Milestar Patagonia mud terrain tires last week. They are 305/55R/20. About two inches bigger than the stock tires that came on it.
I put the thirteen thousand pound rear winch on this past weekend. It will stay on throughout the winter. I ran a cable and lock through my hitch to make sure no one takes it.

The new diesel heater went in last weekend. Also I started the insulation process. I put in inch and a half ridged foam. I covered the foam board with flannel. In the spring I will change to a cotton grey cover. But for now I like the Christmas look. I have covered the large aluminum front wall along with two small door panels. I still have to install foam and covering on all four side doors.

My Timbersled is in the trailer and ready to go. All we need is the snow that is predicted for this week. Up at work in Montana we have a good eight inches of snow with more on its way. At the tent in Idaho we only have a few inches. But heavy snow is forecast for this week.
I hope to have more frequent posts this winter.
I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was wonderful.
See you next time.

I don’t know why but I am a little jealous of your lifestyle. Enjoy the snow!
