Wood fire Hot Tub

The hot tub is finished.

First I hauled logs to build the new deck on.

Next I decked the cross logs with boards.

Once I purchased the horse trough and copper tubing it was time to drill holes and connect it.

After the copper coil was installed I surrounded the fire pit with large pieces of slate.

It was time to test it out.

Running my 1000 watt inverter off of my dual battery from the truck, I connected a pump to it and filled the tub with water from the creek. This takes about 15 minutes.

Once the fire is started it takes 1.5 hours to heat it to 100 degrees.

After this I built a lid out of reclaimed wood from around the tent.

This was a fun project that took awhile to complete. But now it’s time to enjoy.

I can’t wait for winter and watching the snow fall while sitting in it.
