It was time to revisit some of Utah’s National Parks. Also it was time to explore some new ones.

Day one of trip north from Phoenix. Made it after sunset to a remote campsite just inside Utah.

Day two: Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. An amazing high altitude park. Both parks were still busy with people trying to get in their visits before winter.

Day Three: Canyon Lands National Park. A wide open landscape without people.

The road up to the White Rim is a three thousand foot accent.

Day four: Arches National Park. Mostly paved roads with hikes from roadside pullouts.

Day five: Provo. Arrived once again after dark. Wasatch National Forest. Once you enter the forest service road it climbs seven miles and five thousand feet. Temps dropped to ten degrees that night.

Day six: Big Sky Montana. Woke up to snow in the morning.

Conclusion: It was an amazing trip with new landscapes, great people met and memories that will last a lifetime. If you ever get a chance to visit Utah’s National Parks, set aside one day for each park. You will not regret it.

Until our next adventure, stay well!
