Almost Christmas

It’s hard to believe it’s been two months since my last post.

So much has happened since then. Where to start? Well, let’s start at the beginning. October brought an end to fall and a snowy beginning to winter.

Life at my tent erupted into a tapestry of wildlife. First a visit from a black bear. He wandered through my tent site like he owned the place. Mostly curious I think. He didn’t disturb anything just moseyed about. Then as quickly as he appeared he was gone. Next I returned one afternoon to find wolf tracks. Once again I think curiosity drove his or her visit. The tracks circled my tent once then headed up stream. Along with these two visitors were turkeys, deer, and elk.

The next thing was my decision to get a Timbersled. A motorcycle with a ski on the front and a track on the back. This will enable me to get high into the mountains all winter long. This will open up a whole new world.

Next I got my Christmas tree and decorated it.

I promise it will not be another two months until my next post. Merry Christmas to all of you.

  1. FYI, if the Wolf tracks went to where you normally store food then it was probably a male. If they wandered around the entire camp site, like someone just snooping around, then it was probably a female looking for signs of another female (‘nuf said 😎).

Timbersleds are pretty cool but never rode one. So “maybe” let me know when you get one… 😁

    1. Ouch, nothing like a family member to keep you grounded! 👍 But your friends still like to soar – so go for it!! 🦅

Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy New Year 🎇
